Gary Adams

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Gary J. Adams, 74, of Davenport, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 N. Main Street, downtown Davenport.  The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.  Private burial will take place at a later date.  Gary passed away May 12, 2018 at his home.

Gary James Adams was born on January 23, 1944 in Davenport, a son of Elmer Calvin Adams and Frances Irene (Stull) Adams Galloway.  He served in the Army.  Gary was united in marriage to Margaret Lopez on July 12, 2008 in Davenport.  Gary worked for many years as a meat cutter in the Quad City Metro Area.

Gary had a great smile, always willing to share it with others. He enjoyed entertaining others, especially through karaoke.  He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret, children: Karrie and Kori, Albuquerque, New Mexico, step-children: James E. (Tina) Gay, Rock Island, Billy Jo Lopez, Cedar Rapids, Corey (Emma) Lopez, and Theresa (Diondre) Lopez, all of Davenport; siblings: Karen Brentise, Davenport and Sterling (Char) Adams, DeWitt; many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Keith Adams and Dee Ann Paasch.
