Frieda Westerhof

Frieda Emma Caroline Westerhof, 93, a resident of Davenport, died Monday, May 11, 2020 at her son’s home in Fulton, Illinois.

Private graveside services will be held at Holy Family Cemetery in Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

Frieda was born September 11, 1926 in Moline, Illinois the daughter of Clarence and Lillie (Steffen) Weigandt. She married Theodore Westerhof on May 25, 1946. He preceded her in death December 14, 1973. Frieda worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone for 31 years, retiring in 1980.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Ted (Marilyn) Westerhof of Donahue, and James Westerhof of Fulton, Illinois; grandsons, Matthew (Sharon) and Daniel (Kelsi) Westerhof; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Carman) Weigandt of Wichita, Kansas.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harry Weigandt; sister, Patsy Lange; and daughter-in-law, Naomi Westerhof.
