Frederick "Fred" E. Maxwell

August 19, 1954 — June 29, 2022

Frederick E. Maxwell, 67, of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. 

Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  A time of celebration will be held from 12:00-3:00 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Vans Pizza Pub & Grill, 3333 N. Harrison Street, Davenport. Burial will take place at a later date with Military Honors and National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Fred was born on August 19, 1954 in Muscatine, Iowa a son of Owen Maxwell and Shirley (Lewis) Hagberg.

Fred was very proud United States Navy Veteran.  He enjoyed work and was often there to help with family remodels.  He was also fond of woodworking and painting ceramics.  He loved racing, fishing and was a huge Harley Davidson enthusiast.  Fred was fortunate enough to take a vacation with his two children to Florida this year.  Above all else, he loved his grandchildren and cherished the moments he spent with them.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Shirley Hagberg; children, Nick (Teri) Maxwell and Samantha (Michael) Shedek; grandchildren Tyler (Abby) Hahn, Ashley (Austin) Martin, Jenna Maxwell, Emmett Shedek, and Eli Shedek; siblings, Tom (Colleen) Maxwell, Mike Maxwell and Terry (Jack) Greene; and step-mother Evlyn  Maxwell-Fullmer.

He was preceded in death by his father Owen Maxwell and stepfather Harlan Hagberg.
