A kind man, Frank William Slach, 65, a resident of Davenport, formerly of Rock Island, died Thursday, August 13, 2020 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for the McAnthony Window.
Frank was born August 30, 1954 in Davenport, the son of Donald and Bernice (Blocker) Slach. He married Jerrie Blondell in 1973. The couple later divorced. Frank worked as an assembler for Deere & Co. and worked for Swords Veneer and Lumber Company.
Frank enjoyed fishing, riding in his brother’s pontoon boat, adventure movies, and gathering with his friends at LeClaire Park.
Those left to honor his memory include his son, Jason Slach of Rock Island; grandsons, Tyler and Jayden Slach; siblings, Susan (Michael) Anthony of Milan, Edward Slach of Moline, Alice (Steven) Doran of East Moline, and his twin brother, John (Linda) Slach of Rock Island; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
