Elsa Gehring

Elsa Gehring, 44, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport.

A memorial gathering celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

Elsa was born November 11, 1975 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Delton and Margaret (Stout) McConnell Gehring. Elsa worked for Applebee’s in Davenport and Moline for 17 years.

She enjoyed softball, outside cookouts, and her breakfast and lunch dates. She was an avid Denver Broncos and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Elsa was a caregiver to her mother when she was ill.

Those left to honor her memory include her brothers, Kurt (Amanda Carstens) Gehring and Quinn (Rose Vanderwal) Gehring, both of Davenport; dear friends, Jaime Bolar, Maegan Steen, Katie Locke, Jessica Steen, Brittney Welcome, and Chris (Rose) Spalding; and several friends and co-workers at Applebee’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
