Her loving parents were I. Weir and Patricia (Gavin) Sears, Jr. She was united in marriage to Richard A. Ware on March 18, 1978. Together, they shared over 46 years of marriage.

When Rick wasn’t around, Lisa could be found watching Lifetime TV or the movie Steel Magnolias. She enjoyed the traditions of the Triple Crown Horse Races with her family.
She served as a member of many not-for-profit boards including St. Ambrose University, CASI, and Vera French. Lisa provided generous support to these and other causes.
She enjoyed spending time up north at Deer Lake in Grand Rapids, MN, making lasting memories with family and friends at the cabin. Above all, Lisa loved her family, and took great care to encourage and support them, especially her grandchildren. She cherished the time she spent with them. One of her favorite yearly events was to take all of them back to school shopping. She was the bedrock of her family.
Lisa dedicated more than 50 years to the company she loved, Sears Manufacturing, where she held the positions of Vice President and Treasurer. She was an instrumental part of the company’s success. She served as a board member of Sears Manufacturing Company and Sears GSK Asia. During this time, she made many lifelong friends. She was a pivotal part of the Sears family.
