Eileen Barbara Gaura

Eileen Barbara Gaura, 75, of Bettendorf, passed away, Friday, June 10, 2022 at her home.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 18, 2022 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.  Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Cancer Society. 

Eileen was born on August 8, 1946 in Berwyn, Illinois, daughter of Charles and Anne (Schultz) Zahn.  She was united in marriage to Charles F. Gaura, Sr. on October 2, 1965 in Libertyville, Illinois.

Eileen enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and anything that took her outdoors.  She loved to travel and had lived in Paris for 2 ½ years with her family. Above all else she loved her dog and especially her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 56 ½ years, Chuck; children Charles (Katie) Gaura, Jr., Denmark, WI, Christopher (Kortney) Gaura, LeClaire, IA and Jeanette (Zachary) Richards, Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Brandon (Alaina) Gaura and their children Quintin and one on the way, Brittany (Kyle) Rockwell and their children Macie and Vienna, Grant Gaura and Josephinia “Josie” Gaura.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hailey Boyle for the care and love she gave to Eileen the last two years of her life.  The love between Eileen, her family and Hailey will always be remembered.
