Edward F. Lammers, 42, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his home. Per his wish the rite of cremation will be accorded, and private inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
Edward Frederick Lammers was born May 5, 1982, in Davenport, the youngest child and only son of David Frederick and Rebecca Jean (Cruchelow) Lammers. He graduated from Davenport North High School, Class of 2000.
Ed worked as a welder for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline and was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Eldridge.
He had a wicked sense of humor and shared it as a standup comedian, performing around the Quad Cities. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and his favorite player was Ozzie Smith. He enjoyed taking his son Leo to River Bandits games. He loved animals, pyrotechnics, Halloween, and his favorite horror movie villain was Michael Myers.
Those left to honor his memory include his son Leo Lammers of Blue Grass; mother Rebecca Lammers of Davenport; sisters Beth (Gabe) Schipper of Davenport, Katie Arnold of Louisville, KY, Melissa (Paul) Flores of Martinez, GA; niece and nephews Jon (Gail) Schipper of Davenport, Emily (Tyler) Centanyan of Davenport, Abe and Eli Arnold of Louisville; and his cats Tankerton and Pretty Pretty.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
