Dwight A. Keller, 71 of Davenport, died unexpectedly, Friday February 19, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services to celebrate Dwight’s life will be 11 a.m. Thursday February 25, 2021 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will at Davenport Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m., at the funeral home. There will be additional visitation Thursday prior to the service from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Dwight Allen Keller was born August 2, 1949 in Davenport, a son of Dwight F. and Alice (Gerard) Keller. He was a 1967 graduate of West High School and was a talented basketball player. He was united in marriage to Julie Jurkowski-Keller.
Dwight had worked 35 years at the former Lujack’s Auto Plaza as the Service Manager and went on to be a Service Manager at Key Auto Mall before retiring.
Dwight had a passion for bass fishing and was a member of various Quad City Bass Fishing Clubs. He was an avid runner, competing in numerous Bix 7 Races, the Quad City Marathon, the Chicago Marathon and many others.
He is survived by his wife Julie, Davenport and his sons: Patrick (Kim) Keller, Davenport and James Keller, Tomah, Wisconsin; his grandchildren; Brandon, Andrew, Katie, Chloe, Hayley, Alexia, Abby, Ava and Penelope; his siblings; Katherine (Melvin) O’Haver, Davenport, and Dan (Marlys) Keller; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Leah Keller, a nephew, Chris Keller, and his dog Harley.
