Donnie McIntyre

Donald Eugene “Donnie” McIntyre, Jr, 62, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Friday, July 5th, 2024 from 3 – 5 p.m. in the gathering space at church. Mass will follow at 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family. Burial will take place at a later date in Davenport Memorial Park. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donnie was born on January 17, 1962, in Davenport to Shirley (Kopf) and Donald E. McIntyre, Sr.

Donnie was united in marriage to Sharon Rossmiller on May 2, 1998, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Davenport and were blessed with two Sons, Riley and Brady McIntyre. He retired from McLaughlin Body in East Moline after 30 years.

Donnie had a great love of sports. He was fan of the Cubs and Bears. When his boys were younger, he coached their teams, and played softball himself for many years; self-proclaiming himself as the Home Run Champ. Donnie also enjoyed playing with his buddies in a fantasy football league.

Those left to honor his memory are Sharon, his sons: Riley (Addison Flynn) McIntyre and Brady McIntyre of all of Davenport; siblings: Sandy McIntyre of Bettendorf, Rick (Janet) McIntyre, and Rory (Rose) McIntyre all of Davenport; as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Robert “Bob”” Scannell, his brothers Marty McIntyre and Randy McIntyre. May they rest in peace.
