Donald J. Lakers

 Donald J. Lakers, 78, a resident of Davenport, died Monday, August 29, 2022 at his home.

There will be no services held at this time. He will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.

Don was born May 9, 1944 in Davenport, the son of Al and Ruby (Drummond) Lakers.

Don retired from Hormel Foods. He enjoyed the Chicago Bears, Iowa Hawkeyes, cooking and gardening.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons, David (Jessica) Lakers of Milan, Illinois and Andrew Lakers of Davenport; siblings, Larry (Mary Lou) Lakers of Arizona and Shirley (Bob) Pizano of Port Byron, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Lakers.
