A Memorial Service for Diane E. Cheek, 73, of Davenport, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.
The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
Diane died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.
Diane Elaine Tribble was born on October 11, 1947 in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Forrest and Esther (Pruett) Tribble. She retired from the Department of the Army Joint Munitions Command in 2006 after over 30 years of service. Diane did two tours in Kuwait as a civilian in 2003 and 2006.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and previously volunteered with the Scott County Sherriff’s Department assisting in transportation.
Diane loved and adored her grandchildren. They were her world, and her life was centered on them. She enjoyed going to QC River Bandits games and had been a past season ticket holder.
Survivors include her children: Andrew (Chris) Cheek, Davenport, Justin (Tara) Cheek, Eldridge, Erin (Chad) Hagerman, Davenport; grandchildren: Sophie, Ryann, Logan Cheek, and Leia, Grace, Abel, and Lorreyne Hagerman; a sister, Vicki (Larry) Johnson, Viola, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Malcom Tribble.
