Dennis M. "Denny" Callahan

Dennis “Denny” Callahan, 66, of Davenport, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at Genesis East, Davenport. Per his wish the rite of cremation will be accorded, and a private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to your favorite animal shelter.

Dennis Michael Callahan was born May 14, 1958, in Davenport, a son of Bernard “Barney” and Julia (Kane) Callahan.

Prior to his retirement, Denny had worked as a forklift operator for Arconic, formerly known as ALCOA.

He was an animal lover and enjoyed being outdoors, a good meal, and spending time with his family. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and most recently the Indiana Fever.

Those left to honor his memory include his son Michael (Khwankaew) Callahan of Davenport; daughter Kristy (Brian) Seamer of Blue Grass; grandchildren Darian Callahan of Davenport, Brandon Seamer of Walcott, Regan Callahan of Davenport; brother Charles Callahan and sisters Mary Ann Kent, Bernadine “Bernie” (Dick) Lillyblade, Jane (Steve) Palmer, all of Davenport; and many loving extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers John and Bill Callahan.
