DeLandres Thompson

This is the story of DeLandres Thompson. DeLandres’ story began on November 5, 1989, the first and only son of Renisha Thompson and Montey Lewis. DeLandres was born in Davenport, Iowa at Genesis East Medical Center. DeLandres attended Garfield Elementary and Sudlow Intermediate, followed by an alternative school. DeLandres often liked for his friends and family to call him by the name “Skeet” or “Lilman”. DeLandres “Lilman” touched the lives of so many; our beloved, the the light of our lives, energy of our hearts, leaving us smiling through our tears. He was a wonderful brother, dad, son, and friend that was very loved, he is greatly missed, and will always be cherised. DeLandres enjoyed being around friends and family, his grandmother especially. DeLandres had the voice, dance moves, and had a smile that would lighten up any dull room. DeLandres enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, dancing and enjoying life in the moment. On Sunday, July 5, 2020 DeLandres was called to be with the Lord. They say nothing lasts forever and until now, I believed that. I now know that all we have are memories of DeLandres that will last forever. Sometimes you take time spent with loved ones for granted and uncherished. DeLandres meant alot to all of us and played a huge part in all of our lives. Now that DeLandres has been called home leaving us with many memories that were made and time that was spent we will carry him in our hearts forever. DeLandres is survived by his mother, Renisha Thompson, his father David Gamble ( Montey Lewis) Grandmother Yvette Lewis, Grandmother Debra Gamble, Grandfather Joesph Lee Harrington His beloved children DeLandres Thompson Jr (Shavanity Howard) Delandreon Thompson DeLandrnise Thompson ( Denise Cooke) Siblings Davisha Parrow (Sheku Kargbo) DeLandria Gamble, DeAngela Gamble, DeAngelo Gamble, Mia Gamble, David Gamble Jr, Tattianna Gamble many more. DeLandres leaves a Special Friend, Second Mom Shelly Howard and a Host of cousins, favorite cousin (Mekia Thompson) aunts Latonia Thompson, Sherron Gamble, Joy Gamble, Jovan Gamble, Tennille Carr, Nikki Davis, Jolynn Davis, Uncles Nick Ivy, Nares Ivy, Ronnie Jr, DaQwan Davis. DeLandres was predeceased by Beverly Harrington (Grandmother) cousin Daryll Williams Brother/ Bestfriend Joevonta Howard, Brother Damien Howard. Also left behind his special friends Bestfriend Tweet Howard and special friend Nay.
