David L. Perry

David L. Perry, 90, of Davenport, died Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at MercyOne-Genesis Medical Center, Davenport. Keeping with his wishes, cremation rites have taken place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

David Lloyd Perry was born on March 6, 1935 in Elgin, Illinois, a son of Harold V. and Vivian (Yeaton) Perry. David enjoyed a long career as a chemist. He was united in marriage to Carol (Hayes) Licht in August of 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lombard, Illinois.

David had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing that with others. He also had a passion for all things trains, and would get lost in videos and clips about them all over the world.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Carol, Davenport; children: David (Jeffrey) Perry, Jr., Allen Scott Perry, all of New Hampshire, Dawn (Paul) Wolejko, Brian Perry, all of Massachusetts, Stephen Perry, New Hampshire, Mark (Laura) Licht, S. Elgin, Illinois, and Scott (Amy) Licht, Davenport; grandchildren: Brooke, Ronan, Noah, Matthew, and Molly; and a brother and sister-in-law, Kent (Jeanne) Perry, New Hampshire.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
