Damon Lee Jackson, 39, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, February 24, 2025. Cremation was accorded and a celebration of his life will be held from 2-6pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Duck Creek Lodge, Davenport. Please feel free to wear Converse and a shirt that reminds you of Damon. Memorials may be made to the family.
Damon was born November 22, 1985, in Moline, the son of Chris and Anne (Poggenpohl) Jackson. He graduated from Davenport Central High School, class of 2004.
He worked as product manager for LifeServe Blood Center.
Damon was a self-described nerd. He was a computer junkie and gamer and especially enjoyed playing Genshin Impact. He also enjoyed playing Magic the Gathering, disc golf, collecting toys, comic books and Funko Pops. He spent many a weekend with his wife Rachel “treasure hunting” to add to their collections.
Those left to honor his memory include his parents; wife Rachel Friemel; all of Davenport; dog “Freya”; half sisters Brooke Caroline Porter of Puerto Rico, Kaylee Picek of Iowa City; half brother Mike (Victoria) Poggenpohl; and paternal grandmother Kathy Jackson of Kansas City, MO.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents James and Margaret Poggenpohl.
