Coral Degen

Coral Ann Degen, 87, of Davenport, passed away, Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at her home.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

 Coral was born on April 8, 1937 in Waterloo, Iowa daughter of Edward and Anna (Weiland) Conard. She was united in marriage to Dale Degen on October 20, 1956. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2012.

 Coral was very strong in her Catholic faith. She went to church almost daily. She was a huge Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan. She also enjoyed cross stitch and being outdoors. Christmas was her favorite time of year when she would make gingerbread houses with the grandchildren. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and cherished the moments she spent with them. She was always cheering them on at any of their sporting events. She will be deeply missed. 

 Those left to honor her memory include her children Dawn (Darrell) Harris, Kevin (Kate) Degen, Ann Degen and Brad (Sandie) Degen; grandchildren Chad Harris, Cory (Mandy) Harris, Christy (Zach) Howell, Cayla Degen, Eric (Audrey) Degen, Justin (Katie) Choate, Joel (Katie) Choate, Ryan Choate, Bryce Grisham, Lance Degen, Landon (Riley) Degen; great grandchildren Alyse, Carlee, Kenzy, Madison (Ryan), Bentley, Brooklyn, Harper, Cleary, Greyson, Keagan, Ryker, Kemper, Falyn, Maverick, Renner and Kove; and siblings Claudia (Ray) Mueller, Edmund “Skip” Conard, Dale (Laurie) Conard and Dennis (Vicky) Conard.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
