Clifford J. Dodd

Clifford John Allen Dodd, 86, of Davenport passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family or to LifeBridge Church, Davenport.

Clifford was born on January 11, 1937 in Hannibal, Missouri to Everett and Edith (Green) Dodd. He was united in marriage to Nancy Reed on September 9, 1956. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2012.

Clifford was known for his jokes and his love for playing guitar. He found joy in the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved his church, LifeBridge Church, and all of their activities. Above all he loved kids and the St. Ambrose students he had the privilege of working with over the years.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Edith White, Sarah (Wayne) Whitehead, and James Dodd; grandchildren Crystle White, Travis White, Desirae White, and Cameron Beek; great grandchildren Keegan MacBay, Katrina Isaacson-White, Nevaeh Isaacson, Ahbreonna White, Laylah White, Katari White, Jacoby White, and Meelah White; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and siblings Rosie (Carl) Nelson, Sandy Harwood and Charles Dodd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law Dan White, and siblings Florence Riley, Margaretta Dodd, Imogene Lawber, Leroy Dodd, Clarence Dodd, and Everette Dodd.
