Clarence “Tony” McNeal, Sr., 61, of Davenport, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 in Davenport.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at True Faith Deliverance Five Fold Ministries, 700 East 6th Street, Davenport.
Tony was born on August 24, 1963 in Iowa City, son of Clarence “Tony” and Linah “Lillie” (Patterson) McNeal.
Tony loved to dance and was the life of the party every time. Tony raised eight kids and was an awesome father, brother and uncle. He was fun to be around. He loved his wife Brenda Lee McNeal. Tony was a good cook and was known for his homemade gravy. He enjoyed watching wrestling. In 1978 and 1979 Tony became a 2 time boxing champion in Golden Gloves. Above all he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
Those left to honor his memory include his children Ella, Lee, Zeke, Tony, Jr., Deionta and Brenadia; grandchildren X Artaveus, Almainique, Diamond, Derrianna, Derrick, Jr., Jayvon, Mark, Jr., Kendall, Ta’Niah, Kenya, Markayvion and Ro’Marko; and siblings Benita Bates, Debra McNeal, Carla Spears, William McNeal and James McNeal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, children Romane Nunn and Mark Mitchell and siblings Almeda Hardy, Kathleen McNeal and Lloyd Paterson.
