Cindy Hoon

Cindy Lou Hoon, 62, of Davenport, passed away due to post surgery complications on Monday, July 8 at Genesis East, Davenport.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport.  A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will take place Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport.

Cindy was born on June 12, 1957 to Richard & Betty Hoon in Davenport, IA.

She had such a big heart and loved her family fiercely.  She was very compassionate and often put others before herself.  She loved to joke, was ornery but meant, as she would put it, “no meanness.”  She couldn’t go without her coffee and loved her ice cream. She had the gift of gab.  If you knew her, she could talk your ear off, “You know it!”  Her favorite movie was The Wizard of Oz which she enjoyed performing all of the characters to anyone who would listen.

Your suffering is over. You have earned your wings.  Now fly with the angels until we all come together one day.

She is survived by her three children, Richard (Tanya) Hoon, Crystal (Dave) Migiel, and Casondra Hoon; siblings, Debbie Hoon, Terri (Marsha) Hoon, and Randy Hoon; aunts, Delores Thornburg and Marilyn (Bill) Simpson; 15 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents, siblings, Rich, Cheryl, and Sherrie Hoon, and niece Jennifer Hoon.
