Christopher Speece

Christopher C. Speece, 55, a resident of Davenport, died Monday, May 10, 2021 in Davenport.

A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to Kings Harvest No Kill Animal Shelter.

Chris was born January 30, 1966, in Davenport, the son of Robert and Carolyn (Abresch) Speece. He married Kelly Harper. They later divorced.

Chris worked for Sears Manufacturing for 24 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing tennis, and was a river rat, enjoying time on the river.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Carolyn Speece of Davenport; siblings, Sarah Speece of Davenport, Toby (Mary) Speece of Davenport, and Amy (Dale, Jr.) Salisberry of Moline; nephews and niece, Nicholas, Michael, Dale III, and Haley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father.
