Christine Lynn Behne, 65, of Eldridge, passed away, Sunday, July 30, 2023 at home.

Christine was born on February 23, 1958 in Davenport, a daughter of Fred and Beverly (Hahn) Sumpter.  She was united in marriage to Kenneth Behne.  He preceded her in death on May 3, 2019.

Christine was a barber for many years at the I-80 truck stop. She had a big heart and was always willing to help others.  She found joy in watching her shows, Yellowstone, football, and in her younger years UFC fighting.  She loved going out to eat at Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse and Urban Eats.  Christine also enjoyed her music, as it was a type of therapy for her, flowers, antiquing, being outdoors and working on her tan.  She was a classy lady and took pride in her appearance.  Above all, she loved her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.

Those left to honor her memory include her children; Dana (Fred) Wooten, Brendan Disney, and Cassandra “Kassie” (Miles) Crafton; grandchildren, Anthony Holmes, Jr., Emma Disney, Fred Wooten, Jr., Gabe Tan, Noah Hochstetler, and Tessa Tan; great grandchildren Anthony Holmes, III, Kaydyn Holmes, and Leilani Holmes; siblings; Rhonda (Todd) Schnoor-Scheidel, Sheila Sumpter, and Lisa (Al) McWilliams; and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter JaLynn Wooten, sister Dana Sumpter and brother Raymond Sumpter.
