Chris Tubbs

Chris D. Tubbs passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center, Davenport. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family or an organization of your choice. 

Chris was born on July 13, 1963, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of William Tubbs and Dorann Murphy. He was united in marriage to Teresa Schaeckenbach in 1997. 

Chris was a dedicated employee to Republic Services, where he spent over 28 years as a Logistics Analyst. Chris lived a life filled with passions and simple pleasures. Chris found joy in the energy of live music, was a dedicated movie enthusiast, and enjoyed lining up a shot at a billiards table. Chris enjoyed the freedom and thrill of riding motorcycles and the excitement of trying his luck at slot machines. Above all, Chris cherished the time he spent with his beloved granddaughter, Amara, creating precious memories that will be treasured forever. 

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Dorann Murphy, his father, William Tubbs, and his grandparents. 

Those left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy include his loving wife, Teresa; his daughter, Trista; his adored granddaughter, Amara; and his two sisters, Danielle and Michelle. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family.
