Charles F. Haines III

Charles Francis “Chuck” Haines III, 53, of Davenport, died Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Genesis East, Davenport.  A memorial service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be 12 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

Chuck was born on August 10, 1969 in Davenport, a son of Sandra (Teel) and Charles F. Haines, Jr.  He was united in marriage to Darcia M. Vance on June 15, 1996 in Davenport.  Chuck was a truck driver for many years for Wenger Truck Line before retiring due to health issues.

Chuck loved to ride Harley’s, camping, fishing, hunting, especially for pheasant, and playing with his granddaughters, Lucy and Violet.

Those left to cherish Chuck’s memory are his wife, Darcia; children: Brittany and Jacob (Whitney) Haines; mother, Sandra (Ernie) Henning, a sister, Melissa Burkle, and nieces Drew and Taylor Burkle.

He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents: Arlene and Charles Haines, Sr, and Bill Teel.  May they rest in peace.
