Catherine Schmeisser

Catherine R. Schmeisser, 83, of Davenport, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at ManorCare Locust Street in Davenport.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family.

Catherine was born June 9, 1938 in Davenport, the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Connelly) Delinger. She married Paul Schmeisser. He preceded her in death.

Later in her life, Catherine was a care giver to the elderly. She enjoyed watching sports on television and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Those left to honor her memory include her siblings, Linda Bundy of Davenport and Lee (Gloria) Delinger of Washington, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Donald, Edwin, and Jerry Delinger, Marilyn McAninch and Patricia Wilsey.
