Catherine J. Raftery, 100, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Kahl Home, Davenport. The rite of cremation was accorded, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 18, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport, with visitation from 9 am until time of services. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Care and Share Program.

Catherine Jeanette Mulholland was born September 26, 1923, in DeWitt, a daughter of Clement Mathew and Elsie Marie (Shea) Mulholland. She was united in marriage to George Raftery on May 25, 1948, in DeWitt and he preceded her in death August 5, 1989.
She was a hard worker and often held two jobs including CNA at the former Mercy Hospital and Fejervary Nursing Home, photographer’s assistant at Portraits by Annette, office staff at St. Anthony’s, and volunteered at the McAnthony’s Window.
Her family was most important to her, and her sense of humor and infectious laugh will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children Mary Pat (Marc) Kinnemann of Rockford, IL, Kathleen (Joe) Lakers, Cape Coral, FL, Jean (Ron Warner) Molloy, Davenport, George “Bill” (Diana) Raftery, Davenport; grandchildren Kathy, Emily, Marc, Tony, Amy, Ryan, Leigh, Randy, Colleen, Dan, Seth; sixteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband George, she was preceded in death by daughter Deborah (Michael) Feddersen, and sisters Mary McGarry, Margaret Trompeter, and Patricia Wulf.
