Catherine M. Freund

Catherine M. Freund, 78, of Davenport, died Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Davenport.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Good Samaritan or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Catherine M. Fleischman was born on December 28, 1945 in Davenport, the youngest child of Anthony and Catherine (Ries) Fleischman.  She graduated from Assumption High School.  Cathy was united in marriage to Richard Freund on June 19, 1976 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Davenport.  He preceded her in death on May 30 2017. 

Cathy enjoyed travelling and gardening.

Those left to honor her memory are her brothers: Dick (Linda) Fleischman and John “Jack” (Joanne) Fleischman and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, shew as preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ruth Testroet, a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Joanne Fleischman, and a nephew, Kelly Fleischman.  May they rest in peace.
