Carol Nagle

Carol Nagle, 80, of LaPorte City, formerly of Long Grove, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make donations to Camp Courageous, Monticello, Iowa.

Carol was born on December 8, 1944 in Iowa City, daughter of James and Roma (Meier) Nagle.

Carol graduated from North Scott High School in 1963. She then graduated from State College of Iowa (UNI) in 1969. She was a teacher in the North Lynn School district and later at Union School District in LaPorte City until her retirement in 2004. In her early days she coached Special Olympics and enjoyed wildflowers and birds.

Those left to honor her memory include sister-in-law Lois Nagle; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Jess and Caleb, Cheryl, Jeff, and Megan Larison and Joan Getz of LaPorte City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Mary Dobling, Lorraine Burke, James “Bud”, Harold, Wayne, Richard “Sonny”, Larry, and Dan Nagle, niece Cindy Nagle and great niece Brittany Buss.
