Carlos Tucker

Carlos W. Tucker, 83, a resident of Davenport, died Monday, October 8, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home in Davenport.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Casual attire is requested.

Carlos Wayne Tucker was born May 13, 1935 in Davenport, a son of Harry and Pearl (Marrath) Tucker. He was united in marriage to Joyce S. Berry September 20, 1969 in Davenport.

Carlos worked as a Truck Driver, retiring from Gate City Steel after 17 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to honor Carlos’s memory include his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce; their children, Bryan (Tina) Moler, Neil Worth, and Paula (Greg) Scheckel; and his beloved grandsons, Bryan Moler and Cole Scheckel, all of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, two brothers and brother and best friend, Lucky Peters.
