Carey Ann Peterson

Carey Ann Peterson, 47, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the University of Iowa. 

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00am at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.  Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Carey was born on January 18, 1976 in Davenport, daughter of Larry and Jan (Evans) Sammon.  She married Richard “Rick” Peterson in 2017.  He preceded her in death on November 12, 2022.

Carey was a very hard worker.  She loved her dogs and penguins.  Above all she cherished her family and the time she spent with them.

Those left to honor her memory include her son Noah Bremenkamp; step-children Dustin Bain, Danielle Bain and Richard M. Peterson; grandchildren Kaylee, Judith, Amarah, Grace, Kaydon, Elaina and Alexa; father Larry Sammon; siblings Shannon Sammon and Steven Sammon; and fiancé Darrin Conklin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, husband and son Kyler Sammon.
