Brent Decker

A Mass of Christian Burial for Brent L. Decker, 41, of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of Davenport, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. His family will greet friends Monday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., downtown, Davenport from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service to start the visitation and a Rosary to close it. Brent passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Rockford, Illinois.

Brent Lee Decker was born May 28, 1976 in Davenport, a son of Dave and Renee (Spragg) Decker. He graduated from North High School. He worked many years as a concrete finisher.

Brent dedicated his life to Christ and the church. He had a great love for Jesus. He was especially dedicated to daily mass and adoration. Words cannot express his spiritual love. He enjoyed bicycling and watching movies.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family

Survivors include his parents, Renee Spragg, of Davenport; Dave Decker , Rock Island; a brother, Brad (Angie) Decker, Eldridge; his nephews and a niece, Tyson, Zachary and Jennifer; aunts, Rhonda (Bill) Parris, Davenport, Roxanne (Bill) Powers, III, Leawood, Kansas, Rose Little, Davenport, an uncle, Robert (Nancy) Spragg, Jr., LeClaire, Iowa, and a special friend, Sue Paulsen, Rockford, Illinois.

Brent was preceded in death by his grandparents.
