Beverly Macias

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Beverly A. Macias, 83, of Bettendorf, formerly of Davenport, will be 11:00a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will take place in Davenport Memorial Park.  Family will greet friends Tuesday from 9a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.

Beverly died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Genesis East, Davenport.

Beverly Ann Bennett was born October 21, 1937 in Ottumwa Iowa, a daughter of Fredrick and Cecil (Barker) Bennett. She was united in marriage to Peter M. Macias in Chicago, Illinois on April 12, 1971. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2021 after 50 years of marriage.

Beverly and Peter participated in couples’ archery at Davenport Valley Archery. They had a special kind of love. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren

Those left to honor Beverly’s memory include her son, Andy Macias; daughters Leigh Macias Reitz, and Mary (Dave) Charlton, all of Davenport, Debbie Stansberry, Jo Stansberry, Des Moines a niece Pat (Larry) Bloomer; 16 grandchildren Gina, Tina, Dina, Tony, Taleigha, Kelsey, Kerri, Gabe, Mary, Chris, Scott, Tasha, Tonya, Manual, and Skylar; 36 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dave Macias, son-in-law, Jerry Reitz, parents, a brother, Fred, and sisters, Nina and Betty.
