Bernard E. Strouse, Jr.

Bernard E. “Bud” Strouse, Jr., 71, a resident of Davenport, died Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme in Davenport.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Burial will be at Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Davenport. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to family.

Bud was born May 9, 1951 in Muscatine, the son of Bernard and Margaret (Rainey) Strouse, Sr. He married Rachelle DeRosia, May 4, 1979 in Davenport.

Bud worked as a welder for Tri-City Fabricating for 15 years. He also drove a school bus when he lived in Florida. Bud was a member of West Side Assembly of God. He loved reading, fishing, and all sports. Bud was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan. Above all, he loved Jesus.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Shelly; sister, Debra (Anthony) Rangel of Trussville, Alabama; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary Colegrove, Kathy Eden, Steven Strouse and Sharon Strouse.
