Anna Marie “Mickey” Oliger, 94, a resident of Davenport, died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. with a rosary at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Hunter Syndrome – MPS Society or St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
Anna Marie “Mickey” was born October 24, 1926, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to William and Lodolia (Weber) Zeph. She was united in marriage to James L. Oliger on Sept. 3, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He preceded her in death, July 20, 1998.
She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for over 50 years. Mickey had a cute sense of humor and a kind and loving heart. She was truly the best mom and her greatest loves were her faith, family, and church friends. She loved each and every person she met with her whole heart and genuinely loved everyone fully, uniquely and unconditionally. Her favorite phrase about herself was, “I am the little girl the Lord spoils.”
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Mike (Jane) Oliger, St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Jo (Kevin) Evers, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Patty (Dan) Riefe, Davenport, John (Julie) Oliger, Davenport, Bill Oliger, Davenport, and Kathy (Bob) Cormier, Crystal Lake, Illinois; daughters-in-law, Mary Anne Oliger of Peosta, Iowa, and Kari Oliger, Sarasota, Florida; 30 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, James, Tim, and Kevin; and siblings, Rosemary, Irene, and Jerry.
