Angelo Patrick Pate

Angelo P. Pate, 58, of Davenport, passed away, Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Mt. Sinai Fellowship.  Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service at the church.  Burial will take place on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 12:00pm at Pine Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to his family. 

Angelo was born on July 22, 1964 in Iowa City, Iowa, son of Ronald Pate and Sandra Clay.  He attended Sacred Heart thru elementary school and graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1983.  He worked at Craig’s Window Washing Business, Pizza Hut, and later YRC Trucking Company until his retirement in 2020.

Angelo was an avid cyclist.  He enjoyed coming home to his family from Cincinatti and Indianapolis.  He also enjoyed listening to his “old school” music, and being around his grandchildren, family, and sports.  He especially enjoyed food, in particular his Grandma Clay’s sweet potato pies. 

Those left to honor his memory include his children Javon (Bradley) Moritz and Bridgett Pruitt; grandchildren Dannilynn Lathan, Olivia and Michelangelo Smith, and Ava, Amir, August and Asia Young; mother Sandra (Roger) Smith; father Ronald (Nada) Pate; siblings Mark (Ginger) Pate, Rhonda (Damon) Pate, Erin (Brittany) Smith, Erica Smith, and Kimberly Steele; and grandmother Blanche Clay.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mark Clay, and Ralph and Audrey Pate.
