Alona A. Boyles

Alona Boyles, 95, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Harmony, Davenport. Cremation will be accorded, and inurnment will be in Blue Grass Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Freedom Assembly of God in Davenport.

Alona Arlene Waterman was born March 5, 1929, in Hawarden, IA, a daughter of Nolen and Beulah (Green) Waterman. She was united in marriage to Henry A. Boyles on March 28, 1948, in Hawarden. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2012.

She enjoyed going to church, studying the Bible, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include children Sandra (Reginald) Pelletier and Lonnie (Denise) Boyles of Davenport; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; siblings Keith (Karen) Waterman of Davenport, Jerry (Kathy) Waterman of Marshalltown, and Corrinne (Lowell) Reed of West Des Moines.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by children Michael Boyles and Julie Camarena, sister Dolores Crookshank, and three great grandchildren.
