Aaron "Rick" Stoefen

Aaron “Rick” Stoefen, age 75, of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus after a brief illness. Private graveside services will be held at Davenport Memorial Park. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Aaron was born on July 29, 1948, in Maysville to Aaron and Aldene (Weiskopf) Stoefen. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1966. Aaron was united in marriage to Eileen Bina on May 14, 1977. Aaron worked for IH, Titan Wheel, Tappa’s Steakhouse, and for 30 years for Winslow Drilling Company. He also was a volunteer fireman for 35 years at the Maysville Fire Department.

Aaron enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, and cooking. He also hunted with his dogs, Bella and Mandy for the past 15 years. 

He is survived by a daughter, Ann (Manuel) Garcia; and grandchildren, Enrique and Isabellah.

In addition to his parents, Aaron was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (Aug. 3, 1944 – July 18, 2022) and Warren West.
